Hi, this is Vicki Wilkerson, Chief Dream Weaver of the Blue Lake Project, thanks for coming by. So what is this unlikely journey? Well it’s your story, it’s your narrative, it’s your essence. It’s the culmination of all of the things that make you uniquely you and because the ancestors have seated you with these wonderful cultural gifts, it’s a possibility that you might be a seed for a future generation. As women of color we are products of blended ethnicities and cultures. By exploring these unique identities, we deepen our understanding of our cultural gifts, our heritage, and our interconnectedness. By exploring our blended ethnic and cultural identities we create symbolic and imaginative spaces where we can escape, live, and breathe. And by creating these symbolic and imaginative spaces, we give ourselves permission to tap into the transformative wisdom and guidance of our ancestors, and we have their wisdom to provide us these rich cultural gifts that we’re able to harvest. Come join the Blue Lake Project as we explore these Aboriginal and Indigenous belief systems and practices, honor our ancestors, our heritage, and create a more harmonious vision for society.
